A Gift From God

Bygracealone is a 26 ha estate under development with a wedding venue by Jannie & Martiana Jacobs, happily married since the 26th October 1985. That is their wedding date, not some point afterwards.

The venue is mainly purposed for weddings, but can host other functions or conferences. The hall has a stage, features unique lighting and has a sound system. The venue offers outstanding catering. This estate is a gift of God1 and is where this ministry is operating from. The venue help pay our needs.

The views are stunning. Exclusivity is a specific aim of Bygracealone - the whole estate is set apart for one function at a time only. The strong point of Bygracealone, however, is probably its food…

The wedding idea is of God2. A marriage is our Triune God´s prophetic image of Christ as the Bridegroom and us as His bride, His church, His temple, His Zion, His stars, His city in Whom He dwells continually and habitually [for those in Christ]. This is Scriptural, and so what we believe3.

Venue capacity

The floor area of the hall itself measures about 23m x 14.7m, excluding the stage and open plan conservatory.

Concert type seating can be provided for up to 300 persons, with a stage and basic audio & lighting control.

For weddings, 60 to 180 guests, with dancing space; and three homely fireplaces. For functions such as anniversaries or theme-dinners, we serve 60 to 200 guests. It is best for clients to assess this personally.

"Chapel"

There are three options for the wedding ceremony per se at Bygracealone:

1. The unique amphitheater with its 23 columns that offers great views and a very special atmoshere with the tranquil sound of the little waterfall under the entrance bridge. It seats 150.

2. The atrium that can also be considered a conservatory with an open-plan connection to the main hall. This seats 120.

3. An open-air ceremony is an option (weather permitting) but requires special arrangements and needs to be discussed with the owners/management of Bygracealone in good time.

Why our place is called Bygracealone?

Because it most certainly is by God’s grace alone! Grace [unmerited favor] is absolutely unconditional. It is from God, and therefore free from law and religion, therefore not ungodly or profane because your mind is renewed and so your desires change to what is of God. When your love is unfeigned, you hate what He hates (Rom 12:9). Grace cannot be earned, for then it would not be grace anymore. Law [rules] and grace opposes each other. One is an attempt to earn mercy and righteousness through own knowledge between good and evil, blessing and calamity; the other believes [trusts] the promise that Jesus Christ paid for all and He is – once for all - our righteousness. It is only by God’s grace, not by anything we deserve [or can deserve]. To try and "earn" His approval is self-righteous and incredibly ignorant [it denies Christ crucified]. By His grace we received our lives, our abilities and our opportunities. God is good, merciful and gracious because it is His nature as the Creator, the perfect Father, Who initiates all good. He is un-manipulative [Love].

"Gospel" [Gr. Euaggelion] literally means "the-nearly-too-good-to-be-true-news". There are many gospels about Jesus but only one of Jesus (Gal 1:6-9). The gospel of Jesus Christ is not about heaven or hell, but about His kingdom on earth, not the doom/gloom and powerless doctrines the too many "denominations" are running around with! How is it denominated? Did God nominate, and men then denominated what He taught (teaches)? There is only one Lord God, one faith [that saves and set free from self and cares and inflictions], and one baptism. Any compromise is an option not presented by Jesus Christ, and so many misrepresent our Lord. Try the gospel of Jesus, not the gossip about Jesus!

If signs, miracles, and wonders do not follow you, you only have another dead religion.

As far as the venue goes, we suggest a visit to experience what these few words tries to express. The same holds true with your relationship with Jesus Christ. We will do well to remember that it is by grace alone.
