Religion vs world peace

As a preamble, consider Is 9:6 and 1 Jn 1:7.

Preferences are usually negotiable but aversions hardly ever successfully. Often fear is found among the political concoction at the crux of this tragic matter; but there is another culprit that will through objective investigation found to be self-righteousness.  Probably, and shockingly, this seems to be the biggest revelation that The Bible offers us!  This would explain the ineptness and even hatred for this unusual and unparalleled Book. So, read on!

A major hindrance to unity among humans is the insatiable ambition for a power that is defiantly camouflaged in self-righteousness, a desire that seeks unchallenged exhibition of the own free will and even dominance to suppress any challenge thereto. A power assumed to be able to even achieve eternal salvation through attempts at merit earned in some way, shape or form by the self.  This is a calamitous error.

Even the Ten Commandments was not given as a means to save yourself (Rom 3:12,20, 28; 8:14; Gal 5:4,18; Eph 1:7; Jn 1:17; et al).  No, what we have to believe is God’s Love and His grace [unmerited favor] in Jesus Christ (Rom 10:9-10; 1 Jn 2:4; even Gal 1:6-9; Heb 10:14,19,29; 13:12,20; Rev 12:10-11). The meditations “The Covenant and the Law” and “The Gospel” expands on this revelation.

Love is opposite to self-righteousness.  True love does not seek its own interest and never manipulates – especially not underhandedly! Certainly not as the god that is so falsely portrayed by many preachers as an insecure manipulator who forces people to him with calamities! This makes no sense, does it?  No, genuine [agape] love is good and kind and the ultimate power as described in The Bible in 1 Corinthians 13. We also read in this Bible that God is Love and that this Creator-Father-God is supreme. No wonder that this Love [God] is resisted by so many that rather chooses play-acting that is called religion – be it anything defined with a suffix “–y” or “–ism”. Especially with one self-enriching human who was placed in control by humans merely such as that self-serving self with even a hope for a special spiritual gain (opposing even just Acts 10:34-35).  Ironically – actually pathetically – films and books abound with all the same copy-cat idea found in The Bible first, of everyone in desperate trouble and then one savior emerges miraculously… also observe the measly futile attempts to politically falsely deify ordinary human beings… Messiahs are desperately seek and fabricated all while the only real Savior Jesus Christ seems to be ignored!  And then by them who repeatedly blasphemously use His name (Phil 2:4-11; Acts 4:12) as a swear word.  These people are also those who recite jargon of “political correctness”. How absurd!

This discovery then next places the authority of The Bible at stake.  For this topic, refer to the meditations “The Bible”, “Apparent Controversies in The Bible” and “Who is Jesus Christ” in  The reason to consider these meditations are not in the least that these meditations claim to be the last word on these subjects but simply that they hope to admonish against self-righteousness and religion!  They attempt to edify that The Bible teaches that Jesus Christ is the Word of God (Jn 1:14,17; Heb 1:1-4) and that no one goes to the Father except by Him (Jn 14:6) and that we should therefore find a real relationship (not play-acting religion).  There is no other mediator between mankind and God, not a pope, guru, priest, reverent, bishop, pastor, “great” historical leader… call the human what you will, there is only one we read of in 1 Tim 2:4-6; Eph 2:8-9; even Phil 2:4-11.  Historically well documented, we find only one such claim in Jesus Christ.  Remember that the peace Jesus brought was not between men but between man and God (Mt 10:34-40; Jn 1:17; 16:33), for anyone who accept His [Jesus’] sacrificial death (Jn 3:16-21).

Religion will then be discovered to be the front behind which humans hide their self-righteousness. This is the play-acting and hypocrisy that Jesus – proclaimed as our only Savior – firmly addressed in also Matthew 23. This play-acting called religion (even the religion of so-called atheists or agnostics who believe they don’t believe) is therefore useless to our salvation and is thwarting unity among mankind.
